My Skills, My Future
My Skills, My Future is a suite of resources developed by the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) which is aimed at supporting individuals in identifying the skills they have gained from other experiences outwith formal qualifications.
How does it work? We help people to identify their transferable skills through a series of practical and engaging activities. These skills are then benchmarked against the SCQF to help individuals understand the level of their informal learning.
The resource also helps them to develop a set of competency based statements that can be used in a CV, to access further training, to use in job applications and in interview situations. Individuals can then work with their Cazbro Coach to agree a future plan of action based on their strengths.
Who can benefit from My Skills, My Future?
- young people leaving or who have left school
- adult returners
- people who may have been made redundant
- people with few or no formal qualifications
- people considering a career change
- long term unemployed
Your Cazbro Coach can use this resource on its own or in combination with other development activities, Cazbro programmes and workshops to ensure people present with a fully rounded understanding of their skills, strengths, experience and potential and are able to articulate these in networking, interview and presentation situations.
